It is a very rare privilege to receive personalized training and mentoring from an experienced master of one’s craft. Thanks to the dedication and passion of Mr. John Zienaa, Mr. Theodore Amponsah, and Mr Kwabena Monash-Bediako, the clinical engineers operating in Ghana Medical Help’s partner hospitals were able to benefit from 4 days of personalized, hands on training from top class instructors.
These three gentlemen represent the highest held positions in Ghana’s clinical engineering profession. They made the 12 hour car journey from Ghana’s capital city of Accra to Bolgatanga to support Mr. Ayedzi Delanyo Khiki and Ghana Medical Help in the 2016 GMH Clinical Engineer Training Conference. The instructors took time away from their families, jobs, and personal lives to lead this conference. They provided decades of experience, theoretical skills, and practical skills on hospital equipment servicing. In addition to training, our dedicated instructors shared tips on succeeding in this challenging career, pathways for advancement, and how to form positive and productive relationships with their hospital management team.
A very big thank you to all of the GMH Clinical Engineer Conference Instructors! Your efforts to enhance the status of clinical engineering in the Upper East and Upper West Regions of Ghana will make a major impact in the status of healthcare in northern Ghana. Medaase!
