Yesterday we received the very sad news that Dr. Abdulai Forgor, the Upper West Regional Director of Health, has passed away. We worked with him for the first few years of GMH as the medical superintendent of the Navrongo War Memorial District Hospital, and the later period as the Ghana Health Service Regional Director in the Upper West Region. He was a great man who worked very hard and had great desires to improve the health status of his people. We had several inspiring meetings with him to discuss how we were going to do this together. As an organization, we are so sad that he won’t be in Ghana the next time we visit. He was a very kind, humbled, hard working man.

Our deepest condolences go to his family, friends, and the people of the Upper East & Upper West Regions.
