Our mission is to support locally driven projects that sustainably advance health equity in northern Ghana and beyond.
Rural health workers in northern Ghana often struggle to deliver even basic services due to under-resourced facilities and disempowered staff. Hospitals are understaffed, undertrained, and lack essential tools to monitor and manage many patient conditions. These limitations lead to higher rates of preventable deaths, particularly among pregnant women and children.
Yet, Ghana’s political stability, democracy, and safety make it an ideal setting to develop long-term solutions to the health system gaps common to many low and middle income countries.
GMH acts as an incubator for gold-standard health projects that can be scaled up and replicated — first across Ghana, then globally. Our vision goes beyond one country or one community: worldwide rural health equity.
